| The
most frequently asked question about the Chamber is undoubtedly,
"What’s in it for me?" A fair question,
for which I have a straight answer. You've paid your dues
investment and have heard all about the excellent programs
the Chamber has, but what does this do directly for your
business? It’s true that the Chamber fights to preserve
the free enterprise system, lobbies to prevent bad legislation
and is dedicated to promoting business interests in governmental
activities and in general. But what tangible advantage does
Chamber membership bring you? I hope the following paragraphs
will help to answer that question.
Advertising
and Publicity
Members receive free publicity via Chamber
programs, press releases, and committee involvement. Members
receive a free listing in the annual membership directory.
They can also advertise in our monthly magazine, Duneland
Today, which is read by over 700 decision-makers. In addition,
members have the opportunity to display promotional materials
at the monthly meetings, and may put special advertising
messages on the Highway 49 sign.
Business
Referrals
Every year we receive hundreds of requests
for names of local businesses, professionals and services.
Only Chamber members are referred. Business acquaintances
are always anxious to do business in their own community.
What better way to promote your business and the Duneland
area than to "keep your dollars in Duneland"?
Mailing
Lists and Labels
Mailing lists are available for any of
your marketing efforts. In addition to our membership lists,
we can sort our database by company name or zip code. We
offer mailing labels to our members for a nominal fee.
Business
Resources
The Chamber offers a vast selection of
publications to promote and assist business development
in the Duneland area. Included are demographics on populations,
housing, etc.; an area map and information guides. All publications
are available at the Chamber office.
Business
and Governmental Contacts
Through participation in Chamber events
and activities, you meet decision makers and can make invaluable
business contacts. You become part of the Duneland business
network. And, if you are looking for governmental "clout,"
we can provide contacts with local, state, and federal officials.
Monthly
Magazine
Duneland members receive our monthly
magazine, Duneland Today, as a regular membership benefit.
The newsletter features up and coming events, committee
meeting schedules, a new member section, and an article
by the Executive Director.
Networking
Where else can you be cordially invited
to meet with the community business leaders on a regular
basis? The Chamber membership sponsors periodic "Business
After Hours" where you can display your promotional
materials and exchange cards with community decision makers
from the Duneland area. Can you ever discount a qualified
lead in your line of business or service to the community?
Business
Education
Throughout the year the Chamber offers
many programs in Business Education, including tax updates,
small business enhancement, and employee selection. All
chamber members are invited to attend.
Thank
you for your continued support. |
