Membership Services: Chamber Committees

Get Involved! As in any membership organization, volunteers are the backbone that make the organization great. Your chamber is no different. We, too, depend upon the involvement of members to help us implement many important projects and programs. Our volunteers provide new ideas and enthusiasm that keep the community humming. If you're interested in any of the committees, just call our office or complete our simple online form.

MONTHLY COMMITTEES:
Ambassadors
The Ambassadors serve the Chamber membership in various ways. Ambassadors are found meeting and greeting other Chamber members at Chamber events. They also work to increase communication between the Chamber members and the Chamber office. In addition, the members of this committee represent the Chamber by welcoming new businesses to town. Meets: 8:00 a.m., 2nd Thursday of the month at the Duneland Chamber of Commerce office.
If you would like to volunteer for this committee, please let us know.

Public Policy
The Public Policy/Legislative Committee identifies opportunities in governmental affairs to be acted upon and fosters good communication with elected officials. Attend the legislative hook-ups on the 1st & 3rd Fridays at 7:30 a.m. at the Duneland Schools Business Administration Office 700 W. Porter Avenue. (Only when the legislature is in session).

Partners In Education (P.I.E.)
The Educational committee strives to promote programs to open communication between the Duneland teachers, school administrators and the business community; ultimately, to allow interaction and sharing of resources available to all sectors of our community. This dynamic group organizes the 7th grade Future Fest Career Day, 8th Grade Reality Store and the Duneland Teachers Appreciation Reception. Meets on the third Thursday of each month, 4:00 p.m. at the Westchester Public Library Service Center.
